don’t worry. Students can start their program online in their home country, and still be eligible for 3-year PGWP( Post-Graduation Work Permit )after coming to Canada – IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada)
Canada is making a major change to its PGWP rules ,for international students who are planning to enroll for the Sept 2020 programs at a Canadian Designated learning institution (DLI).
Normally. International Students have to enroll for a full time program (minimum 8 months) to be eligible for the PGWP. The length of the stay back under PGWP will depend on the duration of the study program. Student should have completed the course at a DLI ( Designated learning g Institute) leading to a Certificate, Diploma, Advance diploma , Degree, Post graduate , Doctoral program etc.
Students who have completed online courses at Canada ,were not eligible for the PGWP. Considering the International travel restriction, the IRCC announced that Students can begin their courses online at their home country and will still be eligible for PGWP . Students who have started their courses as on line mode at their home country can complete up to 50 per cent of the program while abroad, and still be eligible for PGWP to work in Canada after completing their studies
PGWP has been one of the most popular routes for International Students to get PR in Canada. The work experience (up to 3 years) provide them a major advantage, especially if they choose the Canada Experience Class route (ECC.) International Students gain extra points for their Canadian Qualification and work experience in Canada if they chose to apply for PR under Express Entry
Cost of Studying at Canada will also reduce dramatically, as the student will be spending a good part of their studies at home .saving on their living cost
