International students are allowed to work part-time while studying in Finland, and can also apply for a post-graduation work permit to stay and work in Finland after graduation. After completing your studies in Finland, you can apply for a one-year residence permit to look for work. Once you secure a job, you can apply for a work permit, which is usually valid for up to two years. After living in Finland for four years, you can apply for permanent residency.
