Hungary is an attractive study destination for Indian students due to its affordable tuition fees, scholarships, wide range of programs, English-language programs, cultural exchange opportunities, and location. Hungarian universities offer a wide range of programs in various fields, including medicine, engineering, business, and social sciences. Indian students can choose from a variety of programs that match their interests and career goals. A language proficiency test in IELTS, TOEFL, CAE or PTE will be required for Hungary.

Tuition fees for international students vary between universities and programs. On average, they range from EUR 1,500 to EUR 5,000 per year (approximately INR 1.3 lakhs to INR 4.4 lakhs).

Non-EU/EEA students who have completed their studies in Hungary are eligible for a nine-month residence permit extension to look for work or start a business in Hungary. After living in Hungary for eight years, students can apply for permanent residency.
