As an Indian student, you can work up to 20 hours per week during term-time and full-time during holidays in Portugal. To work in Portugal, you will need a work permit, which can be obtained from the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service (SEF). The work permit is usually granted for the duration of your study program and is renewable each academic year.

You can stay in Portugal once you finish your studies only if you have a job offer.  After living in Portugal for five years, students can apply for permanent residency.
